Option B left my pockets and body depleted. Maybe you’re experiencing a little fear or anxiety at the thought of cooking your first meal. Similar to a baby bird after it leaves the nest, we too can find a way to survive. After the Nest is a compilation of wisdom, strategies, and tips that can help you in pursuit of Option C.
A PEEK INSIDE
The more I obeyed my body, the less sicknesses like cold and flu I experienced. At this point, I finally understood what I live by to this day: Food is the best medicine ever.

Meet Coach Antoinette
Integrative Nutrition Wellness Coach Antoinette L. Beeks, author of After The Nest, is no stranger to great cooking. An avid foodie and aspiring culinary therapy chef, this Greenville South Carolina native and inhabitant of Charleston is no stranger to excellent food. As a child, she was always intrigued by the fundamentals of the human body. This led her to pursue an undergraduate degree in Biology from Charleston Southern University. Even though she hailed from a family of well-rounded cooks, she faced the real-world post grad challenge of not knowing how to cook. Using faith to help her breakthrough these obstacles, she unknowingly developed a blueprint for simple, healthy, feel-good cooking. The side effect of this blueprint was the loss of an excessive 50 pounds.
Over a decade later, she uses this same approach to maintain this improved state of health and vitality. Antoinette went on to earn her Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She inspires others to mesh eating and being well with simple, yet delicious food. Volunteering with the senior resources division at Meals on Wheels gives her a deep gratitude for people and food. Working in the corporate arena, she had the opportunity to teach the employment sector ways to implement their own wellness strategies, while maintaining demanding careers. She enjoys spending time with her family, travel, indoor cycling, the calming nature of the ocean, and of course great cuisine.
